On The Mat Wed.: College coaches Steve Marianetti, Doug Schwab

College wrestling coaches with Big Ten mat backgrounds -- Steve Marianetti, and Doug Schwab -- will be featured "On The Mat" this Wednesday, Jan. 23, the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum announced Tuesday.

Marianetti is the head wrestling coach at NCAA Division III Elmhurst College outside Chicago. A three-time NCAA All-American for the University of Illinois, Marianetti upset Iowa's Lincoln McIlravy to win the 150-pound title at the 1995 NCAAs.

Schwab is the head wrestling coach at the University of Northern Iowa. He was an Olympian in 2008 and an NCAA champion for the University of Iowa in 1999.

On the Mat is a presentation of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum. The show can be heard live on the Internet at www.kcnzam.com or locally in Northeast Iowa each Wednesday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Central on AM 1650, The Fan.
