On the heels of the controversy surrounding President Obama's speech to school children planned for Tuesday September 8, 2009, there is another controversy that continues on a daily basis of which the average American may not even be aware. That controversy includes what is being taught in textbooks.

The content of the textbooks used in our nation's schools could very well be the reason you have considered or have chosen to homeschool.

Fox News network channel has put together a documentary special report which presents facts about our school textbook publishers that the general population may or may not know.  If nothing else, it will make you feel good about the use of living books as opposed to textbooks.

While this is an informative, eye-opening and educational documentary, it probably is not appropriate for young children to view since they cover controversial topics such as homosexual marriage, controversial religious ideology and other issues you may want to wait and discuss with your children when they are ready and able to understand.

According to Fox News Nation, it will be aired tonight, Saturday 9:00 p.m. (CST) and at midnight (CST) and again on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. (CST) and 1:00 a.m. (CST).  Locally, if you have Dish Network & view FOXNWS, it will be shown today at 3:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m., midnight, and on Sunday at 3:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. on Labor Day.
