On tap: DFW craft beer events, week of March 11

Here's what's happening around the Metroplex during the week of March 11:

Special events:

Once again this week, the spotlight falls on the Oak St. Drafthouse as they host the Launch Party for Denton's first craft brewery, Independent Ale Works. Come Saturday, debut tappings of Amber 3.0 and the brewery's Blonde Ale will be on the menu, and if you get there early you'll pick up the customary logo glassware to take home.

Speaking of events at Oak St., if you missed out on the inaugural pour of Armadillo's Quakertown Stout earlier this month, you'll have two opportunities to play catch-up this week. Keep the Pint Nights featuring the maple-infused brew will be going on mid-week at Craft and Growler on Wednesday, and the Common Table on Thursday.

As for other happenings, Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA will on tap Tuesday at World of Beer SMU, while tonight at Goodfriend they'll have Ommegang Iron Throne, the first in a series of brews inspired by the HBO series Game of Thrones.
