On tap: DFW craft beer events, week of February 4

Here's what's happening around the Metroplex during the week of February 4:

Special events:

There are a couple of debuts this week, although one takes a slightly different form than those we usually discuss. The first involves Cedar Creek's beer dinner at Ten Bell's Tavern on Thursday, where they'll be serving up the brewery's newest beer, a Belgian Dubbel.

As for the second, that one involves the debut release from the unofficial (or is it the official?) band of craft beer, Fish Fry Bingo (FFB). Call it a beer and music pairing if you like, but either way FFB will unleash their first full-length CD, No Sleep 'Til Memphis (featuring the Velvet Hammer tribute song), on Saturday during Lakewood's regular tour.

Other items of interest on the calendar include tappings of local bourbon barrel rarities early in the week at the Libertine and Common Table, the Valentine's Day Beer & Chocolate Tastings at area Ginger Man locations happening on Saturday, and the latest appearance of Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA, which will occur as part of the Holy Grail's Dog Days of Winter event on Tuesday.

Cheers!
