On tap: DFW craft beer events, week of February 10

Valentine's Day is coming up on and what better time to express your love for...well, craft beer of course.

If you're planning on heading out to one of the themed events on Friday, chances are one of the beers on tap will be Lakewood's newest limited edition offering, Raspberry Temptress. Then again, this beer will be popping up almost nightly at venues around town. Check the schedule below for early week tap takeovers featuring Lakewood at the Whole Foods Markets in Addison and Lakewood, a midweek tasting a Lonestar Beverages in Carrolton, and a Thursday Pint Night at the Libertine.

Speaking of new, a few other local brews will be making their debut this week. The first happens tonight at World of Beer SMU, where they'll tap Four Corners newest release, Notorious O.A.T. Then on Saturday, Cobra will be rolling out Sumthin' Strawberry and Best Mistake Stout during their regular tour (get tickets here).

Also worth a look, Craft & Growler will have Bourbon Barrel Glenstemmons as part of a tap takeover/glass night event featuring Community on Wednesday. This beer was far and away my favorite pour at the brewery's anniversary party a few weeks back.

Lastly, you can't get any newer than a beer that's not even on the market yet. Head over to Jack Mac's Swill & Grill on Saturday for a pre-production tasting featuring the Hallertau Brewing Company.
