Project Runway, presented at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, this Friday. The presentation was a memorable and amazing show. Guests sat in the audience, anticipating with eagerness, and roared with cheers and whistles when Heidi Klum entered to start the show. Dressed in a colorful patterned dress with an opened black sleeveless top over, she came out with an effervescent energy that filled up the entire room and made you feel more feverish to see the show. Nina Garcia, Zac Posen, Micahel Kors and Desiree Gruber, Eric West, and Tichina Arnold were all spotted in the front row.
Each collection presented stood out from each other. In the first one, there is an outfit that mixes lace with leather, a stunning red dress with a chic and short black jacket covering, and a long-sleeved white dress with a simple, yet sophisticated black design in the center. There was also an outfit of a dark blue jacket with gold buttons over a short skirt, and a hat. This outfit had a tough soldier look, and the model was radiating with a vigorous demeanor. Another outfit had a vintage look from the 1920’s, yet seemed revived to look modern and unique.
The following collection consisted mostly of blacks, and some black mixed with silver. So it was quite a surprise when one of the last models entered in a bold red dress. She certainly stood out the most in this collection. A lot of the other collections featured, consisted of yellow, beige, and neutral colors thrown with a solid or jeweled color. One collection played a lot of with masculinity and femininity blending together, with bulky blazers and flattering skirts, giving the models a tough, yet womanly look. There was one dress that spread out and was made with a thin material that contained a mixture of pink shades, looking youthful and fun. The music in the background was very deep, dramatic, and mesmerizing, drawing you more into the show.
