Lifetime, the cable network that made television movies out of the Casey Anthony murder trial, Drew Peterson’s case, and the Craiglist Killer is now developing a film about Jodi Arias, the woman currently on trial for the murder of her former lover, Arizona man Travis Alexander, according to a March 16, 2013 TV Guide report.

Arias, 32, is charged with the brutal 2008 murder of Alexander, 30. He was stabbed over two dozen times, was shot in the head, and his throat was slashed. She claims she killed him in self-defense, but during the trial Arias has testified she does not remember much about the confrontation the two had that eventually led to his death.

Jodi Arias and Travis Alexander Nude Photos Shown to Jury
Psychologist Richard Samuels, who said he’s met with Arias in jail more than 12 times, testified Thursday that “A large percentage of individuals who are in such settings do not remember or have cloudy or foggy memories of what has transpired… We are more concerned with survival.” Samuels also said he believes Arias suffers from post traumatic stress disorder.

A hearing regarding further testimony of Samuels regarding the difference between premeditated murder and crimes of passion was canceled on Friday due to a personal matter, HLN reports.
