On Friday, Chicago Sinfonietta and James Sanders' Conjunto play it hot!

From Bebop to danzon, explore the intersection of classical music with jazz harmonies and Afro-centric rhythms. Members of the Chicago Sinfonietta are joined by Chicago's hottest jazz ensemble, James Sanders' Conjunto, to trace the path of European music that blended with African traditions in the Caribbean and then jazz in the United States.
