OMTL: Day 22 provocations

Where have you seen the might acts of God in your life.

Miracles are a retelling in small letters of the very same story which is written across the whole world in letters too large for some of us to see.   – C. S. Lewis

Now there’s food for thought! God had to shrink what he did down to size so we could see it. We call these events miracles and proclaim how great they are. If we could open our eyes and hearts and minds fully, the creation itself would befuddle the greatest human intellect. Creation—something from nothing—is beyond our human understanding. The human mind cannot understand the idea of nothing; yet God brought everything into being.

We also can’t understand eternal—always. We want to live forever, but we cannot comprehend the concept of eternity.
If we look at creation, we should know with certainty that nothing is too difficult for God. So why isn’t he doing anything?
The question is, why aren’t we?
Let’s admit when we need help. Ask God for his help—invite him to help. Go where he leads us (to include and especially when it is a different direction from the one we have been going). Finally, we must yield to God. We must be obedient.
We might just find that God has already blessed us with what we need. How could it be right under our noses? Part is surely direct action on God’s part and part is perhaps providence. How aware are we? Watch this video and count the passes that the white team makes. Note: most people can do this if they concentrate. The video starts quickly so be ready to count.

How did you do? What do you mean you didn’t see the bear the first time? You are intelligent, aware, and capable of doing many things at once—how did you miss it?
Is it possible that we have missed some blessings too. Perhaps only when we start blessing others will our eyes be opened.
  • Admit what we need.
  • Ask God to help.
  • Look around at what you already have been blessed with.
  • Go where God leads you.

Could it really be that simple? This is a program of exploration and discovering, and I hope for these provocations, of sharing as well. Please post your insights below.
