On the 50thanniversary of John F. Kennedy’s 1961 presidential inauguration, Swiss watchmaker OMEGA revisits their unique bond with the late JFK.
In 1960, a friend and political donor of Kennedy’s, Grant Stockdale gave John Kennedy an OMEGA Ultra Thin watch that was later seen on Kennedy’s wrist during the inauguration.
The watch, pictured on the left (from the January 27th, 1961 edition of Life magazine), remained on Kennedy’s wrist through most of his presidency and is now in the Omega Museum in Biel, Switzerland.
In 2008, Omega launched the JFK Commemorative watch (limited to 261 pieces) as a replica of the original, each with an 18-k gold case, black leather strap and gold Omega logo.

The problem is that the Kennedy family members and sycophants have been burying the truth since his assassination, and it needs to be told. When he died, his “image” was frozen in time, but the truth is grotesque. To lionize him like his sycophants have done is a crime, and unconscionable.
The latest travesty is Caroline Kennedy's successful distortion of the truth by forcing the History Channel to drop its already-completed min-series about Kennedy and his wife, starring Katie Holmes and Greg Kinnear.
