Olympic TV coverage: Canada beats U.S. for men's hockey gold (photos)

The last major televised event of the Olympics prior to the Closing Ceremonies turned out to be one for the ages. After the United States scored a goal at the very end of the third period, Pittsburgh Penguins star Sydney Crosby led Team Canada to a victory in overtime to capture gold in his home country.

Team Canada's gold puts a cap in what is a record-setting Olympics both for them as a host country and for the United States. The Americans set a record for most medals won during the Winter Olympics, even if the Canadians came out on top in terms of golds.

The Americans may have lost the final in hockey, but they certainly still had plenty of worthy TV moments in between Apolo Ohno's quest for Olympic immortality, Shaun White further establishing himself as a force in snowboarding, and skier Lindsay Vonn becoming a household name.

Did the Olympic hockey final go down as your favorite TV moment of the Vancouver games? Let me know your thoughts with a comment and stay tuned for more news.
