USA Hockey is giving fans a preview of what's to come at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. The U.S. Women's National Hockey Team will face Team Canada in a special Olympic Exhibition at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul on Saturday, December 28.

The exhibition will feature several players well known in Minnesota, including native daughters Gigi Marvin and Anne Schleper and University of Minnesota alumnae Megan Bozek and Amanda Kessel.

“We’re excited to bring this game to the State of Hockey,” said Reagan Carey, director of women’s hockey at USA Hockey and the general manager of the 2014 U.S. Olympic Women’s Ice Hockey Team, in a statement. “The U.S.-Canada rivalry is the best in the world and fans will be treated to not only world-class hockey, but also to the last game our team will play in the U.S. prior to the Olympics.”

The U.S. Women’s National Team has played at Xcel five previous times in preparation for the Olympic Winter game between 2001 and 2009.

Team USA Captain Meghan Duggard along with the above mentioned players will make a special appearance at the Wild vs. Vancouver game on Tuesday, December 17. Tickets are still available.
