The big question for the game with Slovakia was the big ice. Could American players handle the extra room on both sides of the rink? While the answer is pretty obvious in the score, there isn't any doubt the fans know that the Russians will ramp up the intensity even more when it comes to hitting the ice.

One of the coolest players on the ice was Jonathan Quick and his hand painted helmet. It looked good from every angle and the fans were glad to see he was covering the goal too.

The big difference in this hockey game was seen in the players. The Slovak roster wasn't full of NHL players like Team USA and the skill level showed. However props had to be given to the Slovakia hockey team for the effort they put on the Olympic ice.
