Lashinda Demus, the Olympic hurdler who won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics, claims her husband attempted to strangle her to death. Now she's desperate for protection, according to TMZ on Oct. 3.

Lashinda Demus just got a temporary restraining order against her husband, Jamel Mayrant, who was arrested and jailed a couple of weeks ago for domestic violence. Lashinda says the attack left her with bruises and a lump on her head.

The restraining protects the couple's twin 6-year-old boys, and her parents, because she claims he threatened all of them as well.

Demus claims her husband is hurting her professional career, asserting his derogatory emails, pictures, texts and phone calls released about her are injuring her image.

The current restraining order requires Jamel to remain at least 100 yards away from Lashinda, as well as his kids and her parents.
