According to Thursday's CBS News, one participant in the Sochi Olympics is making arrangements to bring home a family of stray dogs that he found wandering in Rosa Khutor.

The big-hearted dog lover is U.S. Olympic freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy.

Kenworthy has been utilizing social media to share his encounters with some of the strays in the area. On Feb. 11, he posted the following update to his Facebook page:

Spent all afternoon playing with a gang of stray puppies here in Sochi! Looking into finding a way to bring them home with me but also don't want to take them away from their mama because she was being super cute and protective over them. I bought them some food and I'll go visit them again tomorrow

According to CBS News, Kenworthy has made arrangements to bring the puppies, and their mother, back home to Telluride, Colo., and his family and friends are apparently ready to adopt.

Puppies are not the only thing this compassionate guy is bringing home...he also will have a silver medal to show off thanks to a great run on Thursday.
