Olympic duet makes final showing in Henderson, NV before 2012 London Olympics

The U. S. Olympic synchronized swimming duet of Mary Killman and Mariya Koroleva will showcase their Olympic technical routine in Henderson, NV before heading to the 2012 Olympic Games in London. The routine will take place at an exhibition performance on Friday, July 13 at 3:00 p.m. and will offer a preview of their new free routine at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14 at the 2012 U. S. Open Synchronized Swimming National Championships.

The event is being hosted at the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department's Heritage Park Aquatic Complex, located at 310 S. Racetrack Rd.

The performances are Killman and Koroleva's final showing in the U.S. before heading to the Olympic Games in London, where they will compete August 5-7 at London's Olympic Park Aquatics Centre.

Killman, from McKinney, TX, and Koroleva, from Concord, CA., first teamed up as a duet just weeks prior to the 2011 Pan American Games, where they won silver medals. The pair qualified for their first Olympic Games in April 2012.

During the U.S. Open Synchronized Swimming National Championships in Henderson athletes and teams will compete for national titles in the junior and senior divisions in solo, duet, team, figure, and free combination.

Tickets will be available at the door each day (July 12-14) for $1 (ages 2-17 and 50+) or $2 (ages 18-49) starting at 8:00 a.m. For a complete meet schedule, visit (type "synchro" in the search box) or call 702-267-2980.
