A Native of Lowell, Massachusetts, Dukakis is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. She later returned to the university to pursue a Master’s degree in the performing arts. A Greek-American she stays very connected to her Greek roots.

Now her life – one that could never be called one-dimensional – is being documented on film. “This inspiring woman is a matriarch of social movements. In a career spanning over fifty years, Ms. Dukakis has portrayed an Italian matriarch, a genteel southern belle, and even a transsexual man, but her greatest role has been that of herself. Known best for her Academy Award-winning performance in “Moonstruck,” few people know that, at 83 years old, Olympia is booked solid for the next three years with films, plays, and workshops around the globe.

“Olympia Dukakis: Undefined” is a testament to an actor who has dedicated her life to her craft. Her charitable works and devotion to the arts are an inspiration to us all.
