Olivia Newton John's 27-year-old daughter Chloe Lattanzi has revealed that she has been battling depression and anxiety for the past four years after becoming addicted to alcohol and cocaine in Los Angeles according to Wednesday, August 26 reports from Radar.
Newton John's daughter Lattanzi reveals that she has spent the past seven months residing in a sober living facility. Chloe Lattanzi made the shocking announcement to the public during a recent interview with Women's Day.
Chloe reveals that her battles began when she was living in L.A., stating:
“By this point I had a severe panic disorder where out of the blue my heart rate would jack up and you would be shaky and dizzy and you would think you were going to die.
“Telling your mum you have a problem with alcohol and cocaine is not easy,” she admitted.
Chloe Lattanzi reveals that when she was out partying, drinking and doing coke that she would out of the blue go into a full panic attack mode.
Chloe stated that she was out every night drinking and that was when she was first introduced to cocaine and believe at the time that the alcohol and drug combo took away all her fears and depression which then snowballed into an ugly and full blown endless cycle of addiction.
Her habit became so overwhelming that she claims she was spending $120 every two days on cocaine.
“I was using most days and nights. And not only was I doing coke, I was drinking vodka heavily also. I had to combine the two.
“I was so out of it during this time I don’t even remember waking up most mornings. I’m honestly surprised I did not have a heart attack.”
Olivia Newton John's daughter Chloe first attempted rehab back in 2011, where she completed a 30-treatment stint before relapsing back into her old addictive ways.
Chloe revealed that she was working just as hard to hide her addictions as she was at being addicted, before one night when her mom as visiting her, she became so drunk that she confessed her demons to her sympathetic mother.
Olivia Newton John's next course of action was to immediately call Dr. Drew Pinsky, who helped the "Grease" star get her daughter Chloe into rehab and then into a sober living community.
“I am really proud of how far I’ve come and so are all of my family and James.
“Just recently I had a conversation with my mum about all I had been through and she told me she was really proud of me for not having secrets anymore, for being open and honest about what I was going through.”
Besides battling anxiety, depression drug and alcohol addictions Olivia newton John's daughter Chloe Lattanzi also reportedly revealed earlier this year to have battled anorexia among other issues concerning her looks and body images.
Chloe Lattanzi is the only child of Olivia Newton-John and aspires to follow in her mother's musical footsteps hoping one day to become a singer.
Hopefully the rehab that Chloe has received will aid her in getting back on the right path so she may live out her life in a happy and healthy manner.
