Oliver Commits to UT, While Fatony Pledges to Missouri

Kyle Oliver wanted to be part of the process on the Hill.

After being on campus in Knoxville on Saturday, Oliver, the big tight end from Oakland called UT Head coach Butch Jones on Sunday night and gave his commitment.

He then took to Twitter and announced his decision.

"I have officially committed to THE University of Tennessee," Oliver wrote on his Twitter account.'

Oliver chose the Volunteers over offers from Kentucky and Ole Miss as well as Duke, Louisville, MTSU and Mississippi State.

He joins teammate Jack Jones and Blackman Athlete Jauan Jennings as Class of 2015 Tennessee commitments from Rutherford county.

Oliver also is the 17th commitment for the Volunteers Class of 2015 and seventh instate commitment joining Joc Bruce (South Doyle RB), Jauan Jennings (Blackman ATH), Jack Jones (Oakland OL), Dylan Jackson (Maryville DE), Zach Stewart (Coalfield OL) and Jaylond Woods (Clinton WR).

Oliver (6-5, 230) had a big 2013 season as he led the Patriots with 31 catches for 505 yards and six touchdowns for Oakland.

Fatony Continues Missouri Pipeline
Franklin kicker/punter Corey Fatony has committed to Missouri.

Fatony's commitment is the ninth verbal commitment for the Tigers Class of 2015.

The commitment of Fatony continues recruiting success for Missouri and coach Gary Pinkel in the Volunteer state.

Pinkel came to Tennessee and signed three players in CPA teammates Paul Adams (Offensive Line) and Thomas Richard (Wide Receiver) as well as Finus Sterbling IV (Independence DB) in the Class of 2014.

"Corey has worked really hard the past two years becoming a really good punter/kicker," Franklin head coach Donnie Webb said.

"We are proud of Corey and know that he will continue to work hard during his senior year and will do well at the next level."
