Oil is not the enemy. In fact it could be your source to the fountain of youth. As I like to say, it has always been right at our finger tips. Olive oil and Grape seed oils are two of my favorite for skin cleansing. After all, it is how they cleansed themselves in Ancient times. It works. The next time you go to wash your face, use your cleanser. Wash your face twice. Go back with a cotton ball that has been saturated with Olive Oil. You will find that there are still traces of dirt, makeup and residue left on your skin. Now thoroughly cleanse your skin with that cotton swab with the Olive Oil and rinse your skin again. Go back over your face again with a cotton ball and you will see that the oil cleaned your skin far better than just your cleanser alone. Why? Well, oil and water do not mix. they separate from one another when put in contact. So if you have oily skin, then oil is what you need to balance that problem out. If you try to excessively remove oil from your face and strip it completely, your body goes into oil producing over drive and send messages to make even more oil to make up for what you stripped. However, if you use the olive oil, to cleanse the oil that is that along with the dirt, makeup and other residue, your body will tell itself that there is enough there and that it can back off from production for a while because there is a sufficient supply there.
Another reason to use Olive oil to cleanse your skin is because if you wear makeup, it will go on so smooth. Your skin will be well moisturized after your morning regimen and your makeup wont look chalky. So many times we try to help nature along with jobs that she has in control already. We don't want to produce nor use more oil because we feel it is gross and well,....just oily. Truth is, Oil is your fountain of youth. It keeps the skin youthful and sufficiently moisturized. It will help keep your face looking fresh and healthy. If you notice when we get older we start to look for oils and moisture to put in our skin. If we combat this and educate ourselves at a younger age, we can fight the signs of aging (fine lines & Wrinkles) well before they begin.
