Older twin brother, Coach Rex Ryan wins Jets vs. Browns ‘Ryan Bowl’

In a game which started with back-and-forth banter and trash talk, days leading to Sunday afternoon’s match up between twin brothers, New York Jets Head Coach, Rex Ryan and Cleveland Browns, Defensive Coordinator, Rob Ryan, the Jets won another nail-biting road game.

Older twin by five minutes, Rex Ryan said, “I feel bad for Cleveland. They played their hearts out. I don’t want to do this game over.”

The New York Jets did not just win another back-to-back road game, but another consecutive match up that went into overtime.

During the 4th quarter, with small minutes left on the clock, it seemed as if the Jets were going to win, with a 20-13 score.  But to many viewers surprise, the Cleveland Browns scored a needed touchdown to tie game, and force the overtime.  The Jets looked hopeless at this point, and Browns Head Coach, Eric Mangini, finally showed a glimpse of excitement, after displaying a nervously-angry demeanor throughout entire game.

During the overtime quarter with less than :20 seconds left, Jets quarterback, Mark Sanchez threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes, giving the Jets their second straight overtime win, 26-20 and allowing the Jets become the only team to win all road games this season, so far.

As for the Ryan brothers, there was no formal shaking of hands, or hugging immediately after the game.  But there was a fun, impromptu Ryan family reunion outside the Brown’s locker room.  According to Yahoo sports, the Ryan boys were joined by their famous daddy, Buddy, and many hugs and smiles were passed around.
