The Delta Classic 4 Literacy Old Skool Concert featuring En Vogue, SWV, and Silk is coming to the Riverfest Amphitheater in Little Rock on Friday, September 2nd, 2011. It’s a great way to kick off Labor Day Weekend and a great way to kick off the Delta Classic 4 Literacy.
En Vogue, one of the most popular pop/R&B quartets of the nineties, had big hits like Hold On, My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It), Free Your Mind, and Whatta Man (recorded with Salt-N-Pepa). The group consists of Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron, Maxine Jones, and Dawn Robinson.
SWV, which stands for Sisters with Voices, has a string of hits that included Right Here/Human Nature, Weak, You’re the One, and I’m So into You. The band Silk is best remembered for their 1993 smash Freak Me.
Tickets for the Old Skool Concert are $20 for general admission, $45 for the blue seats, and $75 for VIP. Tickets are available at Uncle T’s, Ugly Mike’s, Arkansas Baptist College, Next Day Wireless, and the Record Rack in Pine Bluff.
