Crafting can be leveled for free or for profit in Old School RuneScape with the help of the thieving skill. This old school RuneScape guide looks at how to gain crafting supplies thorough thieving.
At level five thieving, supplies such as chisels and moulds can be stolen from crafting stalls.
At level 15 thieving, H.A.M. members can be stolen from. Their loot of buttons can be polished at level three crafting, giving small amounts of experience.
At level 50 thieving, silver stalls can be looted. RuneScape players passing through Ardougne can pilfer the silver stall, or steal cakes from the nearby baker stall while waiting. The cakes can be banked and used later or eaten to heal damage from guards and paladins.
Wall safes can be stolen from also at level 50 thieving. As one in every four loots is a gem, they provide good crafting materials. Here old school RuneScape players can eat the cakes they stockpiled at the silver stall.
At level 75 thieving, the gem stall can be stolen from. Because the respawn rate is slow, this should be stolen from while passing by as opposed to camping there. Gems will add up with time.
Sometimes, gems can be gained from looting chests. Gold ore also is obtained from thieving; it is one of the drops from gnomes.
Death to the Dorgeshun quest unlocks access to storeroom chests under the H.A.M. base. These contain cut gems and jewelry.
Old School RuneScape players, therefore, are able to obtain materials for use in crafting, while training thieving.
