Old School RuneScape players have the following three main ways of obtaining herb seeds. Thieving, trading, and combat. This Old School RuneScape guide will detail obtaining herb seeds in old school RuneScape.
Herb seeds can be purchased from other players. The downside to this is finding players who are selling herb seeds and having to pay money especially for the better seeds. As the convenience of the grand exchange doesn't exist, the herb seeds being sold are more scarce and thus may be priced higher.
Herb seeds can be obtained through combat. A lot of monsters droop herb seeds of varying levels. Some monsters are better known for their drops of herb seeds; these include Abhorrent spectres, turoths, and moss giants.
RuneScape players who train their thieving to level 38 can pickpocket the master farmer for seeds. Although an uncommon reward, herb seeds can be obtained from master farmers. Guam through Harralander are the most common, but are useful for RuneScape players who are starting out.
RuneScape players who have unlocked managing miscellanea are able to collect herb seeds from their kingdom.
Supercompost should be used in herb patches; RuneScape players can make supercompost free or very cheaply by picking or buying pineapples.
