Old School gets a tower defense game, based on the movie

Who would've thought that a game could materialize from the 2003 frat house movie starring Will Ferrell, Luke Wilson, and Vince Vaughn? What's even more interesting, is this game is a tower defense strategy.

Old School Defense, developed by Big Blue Bubble, features 30 maps, achievements, survival and campaign mode, and streaking.

On January 23rd, Kotaku writer Mike Fahey features an article on this titled, "Why is There a Tower Defense Game Based on the Movie Old School?"

He states in the article:

"...developed by Big Blue Bubble no less, the developer behind the wonderful My Singing Monsters and Burn the Rope. They make good games. Could this be a good game?"

It does leave one to question if Old School Defense is worth someone's time. At only a dollar, it is not much of an investment to try out. Could a game like this, reach its target market? As a tower defense fan, it does peek my curiosity a bit, just to see what they accomplish gameplay wise.

As the game just recently appeared on Google Play and iOS on January 22nd, it lacks reviews at this time. It will be interesting to see what the critics say. Could Big Blue Bubble be onto something?

Is this a title you could find yourself interested in?
