Old school fun on wheels!

All I can say is "We had a ball". Yes, we who are 30 & over had fun on wheels yesterday, 'old school style', at the Orchard Skating Rink in Towson, MD.

The skating fundraiser was sponsored by Visions Christian School of Etiquette & Dance, to raise money for their upcoming 10 year anniversary & Spring dance recital.  Everyone who was there had a good, healthy dose of fun & exercise on wheels.

Disco, Gospel, & contemporary songs were played, including of course, our beloved Michael & in my opinion, the adults had way more fun than the kids. A few of us adults fell once (or in my husband's case, twice, but, he is a pretty good skater, after all these years). I didn't fall UNTIL my husband tried to grab me as he was coming around the rink.

All the gang from Visions came out to support the fundraiser, although, I won't call any names (Vonnette, Chanel, Jermaine, Alicia, Karen, Betty) some of them didn't skate. Tonya & I were 'doing the bump', while Mert & Michelle (adults who didn't fall at all), just whisked around & around enjoying themselves. Yes, Debbie did fall, once, but, while I was skating around taking pictures, I missed it. Tina, Juanita & some other adults had a really good time, too.

At the end of 2 hours, we were well oiled, tired, but feeling fine. The fellowship was just what we all needed after a real winter in Baltimore. We needed to get out, move, & enjoy the day with some laughter & friends. We just needed to let loose, & we did exactly that.  If you weren't there, you missed a good ole' time.

Oh, by the way, if you're wondering: YES, WE ADULTS CAN STILL SKATE....We still got the moves!
