Rob Barnes, the current heavyweight champion for Booker T's Reality of Wrestling, got a rude awakening from an old enemy this past Saturday night, as the ROW crew slammed back into the Clear Lake City Recreation Center. It was a wild night including title matches and even the ladies got involved during the night.
The opening contest of the night featured the ladies, as Reyna and Ms. Bates got things started. Reyna picked up the pinfall to open up the night.
Huge fan favorite Rockstar Robbie was in action, as he faced off with Jared Wayne. Robbie was able to survive everything Wayne could throw at him, and picked up the win after dropping a top rope elbow drop for the win.
ROW debuted a new tag team division on Saturday night, as The Lockharts stepped into the ring against Gabe Hollier and Alex Villireal. The Lockharts were victorious after a double dropkick. They are getting some favorable looks from ROW management, so expect to see a lot of them over the next few months.
Up next was a brutal three-way match, featuring Jasper "The Hammer" Davis battling The Pride and Mitch Baxter. During the match, newcomer Eliot Sexton marched to the ring and laid out Baxter. This allowed Pride to capitalize and pick up the win.
Abel Andrew Jackson was in action on Saturday, squaring off against Cedric Pain. Jackson was able to walk away with the win, after hitting his Swing Vote neckbreaker.
The ROW Internet Champion Kid Ransom put the title on the line against Jared Steel. Ransom has pretty much challenged everybody and has turned into quite the fighting champion. He would add Steel to the list of challengers he's put away, shocking him with a backslide to escape with the title in hand.
American Eagle is one of ROW's most popular stars, and he was ultimately tested on Saturday night against the powerful Ryan Davidson. These two went back and forth, with Davidson nearly walking away with the win. But in the end, the Eagle stood supreme after countering out of a stalling suplex and rolling Davidson up for the win.
Ayden Cristiano and Steve DeMarco were set to do battle in what SHOULD have been an exciting encounter. However TJ Lewis had other plans and ran in to attack Cristiano. The referee had no choice but to throw the match out, after Gustavo Mendoza ran out to save Cristiano. Mendoza appears to have officially sided with Cristiano in his Lucha Libre battles.
ROW Heavyweight Champion Rob Barnes put his title on the line during the main event, as he faced a part of his past in Marcus Pitt. These two have battled all over Australia, and word in the locker room is that Pitt has flown to America to challenge Barnes for the title and spark an extreme international incident. Barnes would escape with his title, but he now has to deal with Pitt in his way for the forseeable future.
