This is the last weekend for yuletide in the country! It’s held at the Genesse country village and museum in Mumford, NY. The tours run Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the last day being this Sunday, December 20th. Friday tours begin at 5 p.m. while Saturday and Sunday tours begin at 2 p.m.
The tours feature the historical traditionas of Christmas in western New York. The tours feature actual historical events and writings from the early 1800’s and reflect the historic nature of the village. They’ve hired houndreds of actors, tour guides, cooks, and decorators for this tradition and it’s spactacular to see. There’s traditional music, decorating, and amazing historic references. Tickets for adults are $22 and for members they’re $18. Tickets for children are $15 and $12 for members. There is a buffet held as well but reservations are required. Cost for the festive buffet is $25 for adults, $13 for children ages 4 to 10, and children under 3 are free. The number to call for reservations is (585) 538-6822.
