This weekend is the 5th annual tour of homes in Lewiston. Starting Saturday, December 5th and Sunday, December 6th, you can see this season’s best decorated and gorgeous homes. On Saturday and Sunday the tours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This tour runs through all of beautifully historic Lewiston. It’s beautiful this time of year and showcases some of the best decorated homes. It’s a great way to admire what Lewiston offers, and to get in to the spirit.
You can buy tickets online at the website provided below, at locations in Lewiston listed on website, or can call 716-754-4214/1-866-754-4214. Each ticket is $25 and can purchase up to 10 tickets. This is a fundraiser and proceeds are used to preserve Lewiston’s heritage.
Make sure to dress for the weather, snow boots may be required (hey it’s Buffalo). Don’t worry! There are trolleys that will take you from house to house through out the tour. You can take pictures of the homes but they ask that you please refrain from taking pictures of inside the homes. This event is also not suitable for younger children. Something new this year is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. ticket holders can attend a reception at Barton Hill hotel. At the reception there are samplings of deserts from DiCamillo bakery and the Village Bake shop. There are also wine tastings from several local wineries and a jewelry show located in the hotel lobby.
It may not be ideal Christmas fun for children but it’s a great way to get into the spirit and see beauty that’s in Buffalo. For more info and detailed maps click on the link below. Have fun!
