For the past two decades, Old 97's have written and performed tunes which scream cheap whiskey, thrift-store flannel, ripped jeans and heartbreak. Fronted by Rhett Miller, the band has released nine studio albums and is credited as a pioneer of the alt-country movement during the mid to late 1990s alongside Uncle Tupelo, Drive-By Truckers, Whiskeytown, The Jayhawks, The Bottle Rockets and more.
Last month Old 97's released Old 97's & Waylon Jennings, an EP consisting of 1996 demos and two unreleased duets with country music legend Waylon Jennings via Omnivore Recordings.
