.The weekend is ending on a very wet note after a beautiful day on Saturday.
A frontal boundary that moved through the state Thursday night and early Friday morning, bringing widespread rainfall amounts of 1/2 to 1 inch across the state will slowly move back to the north, as a warm front.
This will allow rich Gulf of Mexico moisture to flow north over the area.
In addition, the moisture associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Olaf in the Pacific Basin will also flow into the state from the west and southwest, helping to produce widespread rainfall today and tonight.
Due to the very wet grounds from heavy rains during the month of September and more recent rains Thursday night and Friday morning, a Flash Flood Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service.
The Flash Flood Watch is in effect through at least midnight .
Some areas could receive 2 to 4 inches of rainfall with locally higher amounts over 5 inches, especially north of Interstate 20.
