As fall approaches, Crestline celebrates Oktoberfest this Saturday at San Moritz Lodge center next to Lake Gregory. All proceeds from the third annual Oktoberfest will benefit Crest Forest Senior's nutrition program, which serves meals once a week for seniors and disabled persons.
Activities include beer, of course, since that is the main feature of Oktoberfest, which began in Munich, Germany in 1810. Wine and bratwurst (a large sausage somewhat like a hot dog or Polish sausage) will also be served.
According to Rim of the World News, "Oktoberfest begins at noon and draws to a close about 5 p.m., it promises plenty of fun for everyone with the food catered by “Cater by Sheila.” The music will be provided by Jon Lundgren with the 'Main Street German Band.'”
Tickets to the Crestline Oktoberfest are $20 for adults and $10 for children (under 12).
Tickets will be available at the door and at the office at Leisure Shores (Lake Gregory Community Center).
San Moritz Lodge is located at 24640 San Moritz Drive in Crestline.
