Is Mel Gibson REALLY Moving to Australia or Not? - and How Did This Rumor Start?
Oksana Grigorieva’s lies have had one positive effect on Mel Gibson’s life. They’ve helped reunite Mel with Robyn, his ex-wife.
Mel Gibson informed friends that he’ll be moving back to Australia, accompanied by his ex-wife Robyn, and some of his 7 children, reports The Daily Mail.
In anticipation of his move back to Australia, MyFoxNY.com reports that Mel has sold his $39.5 million dollar mansion in Greenwich, Connecticut at a $24 million cut rate price. Mel has also put his $15 million Malibu home up for sale.
Robyn Gibson, who has been very supportive of Mel, was able to convince her ex husband it was in his best interests to leave Hollywood, and seek peace on his Australian ranch.

According to People magazine, Robyn Gibson voluntarily filed an affidavit last Thursday on Mel Gibson’s behalf. In it, she stated that Mel had never engaged in any physical abuse towards her or their 7 children before, during, or after their marriage of 28 years.
Spreadit.org reports that Robyn Gibson came forward on her own accord because the child abuse claims against Mel Gibson were too out of character to be true. (Oksana Grigorieva has accused Mel Gibson of punching her in the face while she held their 9-month old daughter in her arms.)
It seems that in the end, Judge Scott Gordon was impressed with Robyn Gibson’s statement. He ruled that Mel posed no threat to his infant daughter and allowed Mel’s visitation rights with baby Lucia to continue.
NOTE: TMZ reports that Judge Gordon was formerly a prosecutor in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, specializing in domestic violence, so he had special insight into the situation.
Mel Gibson Has a Strong Support System
Other sources, including People magazine, report a Gibson family source as saying that Mel’s family always felt Oksana had ulterior motives where Mel was concerned. They feel Oksana may have deliberately pushed Mel over the edge. See What You Need to Know about Your Husband’s Mistress and Why
The seven Gibson children are very supportive of their father.
So are other family members and friends, though they concede that Mel has anger management issues which may require professional help.
In his current situation, Mel Gibson is very fortunate to have such a strong support system in place.

Give a man a break
There is two sides to the story. Mel could have argued with Oksana in one day, a week, or a course of months while she recorded him. She recorded him for a reason. Then leaked the tapes. All we know is he could of been drinking and fighting with her. Sometimes we say things we dont mean. (Mel just give your public appology) So we can get over it! Mel is a great actor! I dont care about bitter battles with his ex. She exploiting it for custody, money, ruin his reputation.
Oksana set him up from the beginning. When marriage was no longer an option because he got a sense of where she was coming from ($$$$), then the blatent extortion started. Let's face it, she has used up all her cards now except the lascivious card of having an explosive relationship with a celebrity. Look for Oksana on talk shows, in new "tell all" books, and her own reality TV series...which may have to be recorded behind bars. We will see what the DA digs up.
