The goal for the Raiders is as it is every year is to win the Minto Cup, the Canadian junior men's lacrosse championship.

The Raiders also named Dane Dobbie, one of the top players of the Roughnecks players, as McBride's offensive co-ordinator.

The Roughnecks meanwhile announced on Tuesday that Geoff Snider and Dobbie will be assistant captains this season. Mike Carnegie will remain as the alternate captain.

The Roughnecks open their 2014 National Lacrosse League season Friday in Toronto. The Roughnecks' first home game will be on January 10 against the Colorado Mammoth.
