Oklahoma teen who shot dog with arrow will not be charged

Caisen Green, the 18-year-old from Cherokee County, Okla., who shot and killed a pit bull with a bow and arrow, will not be charged.

According to Friday's Associated Press, prosecutors determined that they could not prove probable cause for animal cruelty.

Green shot the dog back on February 14, and then posted a photo on Facebook which stated:

"For all you pit lovers out there. Here's what happens when one shows up around my house,"

The teen managed to skirt animal cruelty charges by telling under-sheriff Jason Chennault, that he shot the dog with an arrow, in self-defense, after the dog supposedly snarled and charged at him.

A necropsy was never performed on the dog's body because Green burned the dog, explaining that the dog appeared to be "diseased."
