In a rare CBS regular season appearance, Oklahoma State (OSU) vs Kansas basketball is scheduled to be on CBS (ch 6.1 KOTV in Tulsa) at 3 p.m. on Sat. Jan 18, 2014.

Kansas started out struggling, losing four games with a young team, but has recently put together nice (right now on paper) wins over Kansas State, Oklahoma, and Iowa State. Kansas lost to Colorado which OSU beat but Kansas beat Kansas State who defeated the Cowboys.

Oklahoma State has used their athleticism to overwhelm inferior teams. That has led to an upside and a downside. The upside is they have three very athletic players who can make difficult shots, Marcus Smart, Maekel Brown, and Le'bryan Nash. The downside is that they still don't play as a team and pass the ball around to get wide open shots. They are 84th in assists as a team according to ESPN. If alley oops, fast breaks, and other “sportscenter” highlight plays are taken out, they are much much lower.
