Oklahoma State, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri in 2013 National Duals Semifinals

Oklahoma State, Iowa, Minnesota and Missouri are still in the running for the 2013 NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals Mat Mayhem Championship, having won their quarterfinals matches at Williams Arena in Minneapolis Friday night.

In Friday night quarterfinal action, only one dual was close, as the Iowa-Cornell match-up came down to the last bout... with Hawkeye heavyweight Bobby Telford getting a major decision to propel his team to a 21-16 win. In other matches, Oklahoma State defeated Illinois, 33-3... Missouri beat Ohio State, 28-6... and Minnesota topped Virginia Tech, 28-8.

In the semifinals matches Saturday at 1 p.m. Central, the top-seeded Cowboys will take on No. 5 seed Missouri, while the second-seeded Hawkeyes will go up against host school Minnesota, the No. 3 seed.

These match-ups feature familiar foes who have wrestled each other in the past month. On Feb. 1, Oklahoma State topped the Tigers, 21-13, in Columbia, Mo. The Iowa-Minnesota dual is a rematch of the "border battle" back on Jan. 26 in Minneapolis, where the Hawkeyes won 16-15 on criteria.
