Oklahoma State indoor track teams slip in polls

The men's and women's Oklahoma State indoor track teams slipped a bit in the polls this week, which were released Feb. 26, 2013.

Even though both teams fared well at the Big 12 championships, and at the Razorback Invitational, they still slipped.

The men slipped from No. 6 to No. 11, essentially changing places with Oregon who jumped from 11th to 5th. The previous week the Cowboys were ranked No. 3. Oklahoma State finished sixth at the Big 12 championships.

The women feel out of the top 25 after having been ranked No. 23 the week before. The Cowgirls slipped even though they had a good day at the Big 12 championships and finished fifth.

Also, according to an Oklahoma State press release on Feb. 26, the men and women have athletes already qualified for the NCAA competition. The Cowboys have five runners with miles of less than four minutes. Oklahoma State has 13 men in the top 50 in their respective events.

On the women's side Natalia Piliusina is in the top five in the women's 800 and mile events. She is also part of the women's distance medley relay team that is ranked No. 25.
