The Big 12 is proving to be one of the toughest conferences in college basketball. Just last week, two highly ranked teams met with Iowa State beating Baylor. Now, today, the ninth ranked Oklahoma Stater Cowboys travel to Lawrence to take on the 15th ranked Kansas Jayhawks. This is the second Big 12 game between Top 25 teams today and USA Today reported on Jan. 17 that Cowboys star Marcus Smart had some challenging words for Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins before the game. Here is how fans can follow the Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. Kansas Jayhawks live stream of the big game.

  • Date: Jan. 18
  • Time: 4 p.m. EST
  • TV: CBS
  • Radio: XM 91
  • Live Stream: CBSSports

Marcus Smart's problem is not with Andrew Wiggins, but it is with the hype surrounding him. Smart believes that people were calling Wiggins the best college basketball player in the nation before he ever took the court. Smart felt that Wiggins needed to prove himself on the court before he could take that label for himself.

To date, Smart is averaging 17.9 points per game and also leads the Cowboys (15-2) with 4.2 assists and 2.5 steals a game. He is a large reason that the Cowboys are so successful this season. Wiggins is not playing bad, averaging 15.8 points per game with also over six rebounds a game. He is playing great and is one of the top basketball players in college sports, but isn't the best yet.

A win over Oklahoma State and Marcus Smart could be a move in that direction.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. Kansas Jayhawks live stream tips off at 4 p.m. EST.
