Oklahoma State basketball team blows past TCU

Le'Bryan Nash had a coming out party Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, as he and the Cowboys rolled past TCU 64-47. The game was low scoring by Oklahoma State standards but it kept their hopes alive of still winning the Big 12 title.

The Cowboys will have to have some help as both Kansas and Kansas State are a game ahead of Oklahoma State with just a few games remaining.

Nash had a career high 28 points in a 12-16 night from the field. He missed his only 3-pointer. He was 4-6 at the free throw line. Nash also led the Cowboys in rebounds with six, all at the defensive end.

No one else scored in double figures for Oklahoma State. Marcus Smart was 3-10 from the field and finished with nine points. Leading scorer Markel Brown was 3-6 from the field and finished with seven points.

Oklahoma State is now 21-6 overall and 11-4 in the Big 12. TCU falls to 10-18 and 1-14 in the Big 12.

Kyan Anderson led TCU with 15 points and Devonta Abron added 12.

While Smart had a rare poor shooting night, the rest of the Cowboys shot fairly well, hitting 55 percent from the field. TCU shot 27 percent.

Oklahoma State led 38-24 at halftime and never trailed at any point. The Cowboys led by as many as 20 in the second half.

Oklahoma State hosts Texas Saturday at 3 p.m. Central, in a game that will be broadcast on ESPN.
