The Oklahoma Sooners entered the Top 25 college basketball rankings for the first time since Blake Griffin was on campus, but their stay may only last one week. Just one day after hitting No. 25 in the AP poll, the Sooners lost to the Kansas State Wildcats. According to Sooner Sports on Jan. 17, the OU men's basketball team now plays its third ranked opponent in four games against the Baylor Bears. The Baylor Bears are ranked 12th in the nation, falling after losing their third loss of the season to the Iowa State Cyclones. While Baylor has been a successful college basketball team over the past few years, they head into their first game with OU in 2014 remembering last season when the Sooners swept the Bears. The fact that OU beat Iowa State in the first game after the Cyclones beat Baylor.

OU has one of the nation's top college basketball offenses, averaging 85.8 points per game but have also given up 78.8 points per game with one of the nation's worst defenses. In their game with the Big 12's top defense in Kansas State, OU was unable to keep up. The Sooners will have to play better if they want to knock off their second Top 20 team in the last three games.
