Oklahoma executes man: A man who stabbed a woman to death in 1999 has been executed by the state of Oklahoma. The execution happened on Tuesday night.
In 1999, Steven Ray Thacker was convicted of killing a woman after he responded to her classified ad regarding a pool table. He then went on to kill two additional human beings, as well.
Thacker was executed at Oklahoma State Prison. And although its only March, Thacker becomes the fifth person to be executed in America. He’s the first person to be killed by the state of Oklahoma in 2013.
According to Yahoo, here are some of the very disturbing details regarding the Thacker case:
“Thacker stabbed Forrest Reed Boyd, 24, to death after Boyd found Thacker burglarizing his home in Aldrich in southwestern Missouri, about 200 miles from Bixby, authorities said.
Later, Thacker killed wrecker driver Ray Patterson, 52, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, who had responded to Thacker's request for a tow, authorities said.
It’s said that Thacker suffered from bi-polar disorder, but didn’t cooperate in regularly taking his medication to manage the disorder.
