OKC's La Baguette Bistro wins ORA hall of fame award

The Oklahoma Restaurant Association presented Alain and Michel Buthion, owners of La Baguette Bistro, the 2012 “Restaurant Hall of Fame” award for 25 years of service utilizing a single-unit concept. They opened La Baguette Bistro in 1988 and it remains a popular eating establishment not only for their Oklahoma City patrons but for diners throughout the state. Alain and Michel are proud of their accomplishments.

As the years go by the opportunity to expand has created the Deli Retail section and now the "Boucherie", Meat Market, created in the memory of their father's butcher shop. La Baguette's May avenue site comprises the “Bistro” as well as a bakery, deli, and butcher shop. Catering is also available.

A few samples from each branch of their operations include, but are not limited to:

Bistro

  • Grilled steak: A “petit filet” served over sautéed onions and potatoes with two eggs any style
  • Hola Mexico: Ham, bacon, scrambled eggs, Swiss cheese, potato, picante sauce, rolled in a flour tortilla
  • Filet Portofino: Seared, flambeed with Marsala veal glazed and finished with Gorgonzola cheese and roasted Portobello mushroom

Bakery

  • Tarte: Almond and Pear
  • Specialty Cake: Bombe au Chocolat
  • Cheesecake: Almond Amaretto

Deli

  • Sandwiches to Go: Focaccia Sandwich
  • Items by the Pound: Chicken Walnut Salad

Butcher Shop

  • Gift Packages: 2 8-ounce filets and 2 10-ounce strips
  • Comfort Food: Dave's Meatloaf
  • Market Favorites: Pheasant, quail, rabbit, duck, and French-style sausage

Monday--Thursday 8 a.m.--10 p.m.
Friday--Saturday 8 a.m.--11 p.m.
Sunday: 9:30 a.m.--2:30 p.m.
