OK Go brought their creative stage show to the Boston House of Blues on Friday night. If you are unfamiliar with the band, you probably remember that epic treadmill music video on YouTube for “Here It Goes Again."  That kind of innovation translated into their live show. Damian Kulash (lead vocals/guitar), Tim Nordwind (bass guitar/vocals), Dan Konopka (drums/percussion) and Andy Ross (guitar/keyboards/vocals) released Of the Blue Colour of the Sky in January of this year and played a mix of old and new for fans during their set.

These guys have a quirky, yet cool stage presence with an 80’s MTV kind of vibe. They kept the crowd involved, handing out tambourines, even playing one song from the center of the floor. Behind them, was a projection that flashed video clips and at times, a live feed from each of their microphone stand mounted webcams. Hilarious. OK Go showed the Boston accent some love, sharing with the HOB a story about “lobstah rolls and Guitah Centah.” Kulash took a group photo of the crowd and asked them to tag themselves on Facebook, so don’t forget to check that out!

The lights went down for OK Go just as Katie, from Boston, was sharing her thoughts, “I appreciate them for who they are as a band. They started their own record label and are different from the mainstream stuff, which is pretty awesome.”

Did we mention that confetti rained down on the audience sporadically during the entire show. Win!

OK Go sells recordings of each show on a USB flash drive. Check out their official merchandise store for more information. How clever! KMD
