Simpson, who is currently serving time at Lovelock Correctional Center, reportedly "issued a plea" to ask President Obama that he be released to seek treatment and, worst case scenario, die at home. According to the Daily Telegraph (who cites the latest issue of the National Enquirer as the original source of the report), Simpson has been complaining of headaches and blurred vision, among other health problems. He reportedly doesn't believe he has long to live.
O.J. Simpson Brain Cancer: Ailing Former Football Star Wants Presidential Prison Pardon
In 1995, Simpson was acquitted of murder charges in the brutal deaths of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her then boyfriend Ron Goldman (despite an incredible amount of evidence implicating him).
Exactly 13 years later, Simpson was sentenced to 33 years in prison following assault, armed robbery and kidnapping convictions stemming from a 2007 incident in Las Vegas. Barring clemency or other extraordinary circumstances, the former football star and actor will not be eligible for parole for several more years. He was diagnosed with diabetes in 2013; an inside source for the Enquirer painted a dire picture of Simpson's health back in July, saying, 'O.J.'s doctors have told him he could be dead in as little as three months because of his out-of-control blood sugar and blood pressure."
