According to Brad Jacobs' twitter account, the Canadian Olympic gold medalists in men's curling from the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi were honoured prior to the Edmonton Oilers' game Tuesday night against the Nashville Predators.

Skip Brad Jacobs, third Ryan Fry, second E.J. Harnden and lead Ryan Harnden of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario each dropped the puck to Oilers captain Andrew Ference and Predators captain Shea Weber.

Weber, interestingly also won an Olympic gold medal with Canada in men's hockey at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.

The Canadian men's curling team beat Great Britain 9-3 in the gold medal game on February 21.

The Jacobs team had just competed in Fort McMurray, Alberta in the Syncrude National event and finished with a record of 2-3. They are also the current leader in the World Curling Tour Order of Merit with 451.15 points. They are expected to compete in the final grand slam event in Summerside, Prince Edward Island in April.
