Ohioans prepare for flooding after snow melt

See also

Flooding is many Ohioans worry this week after a build up of snow and ice over the past few weeks. The long awaited warmer temperatures may serve as the next nightmare for residents. Putting your lower level belongings on stacked pallets may save your furniture and other valuables.

The American Red Cross has pallet kits available ahead of the melting snow to river areas prone to flooding. Residents need to call their local chapter for a kit to elevate belongings. These items are limited so contact your local chapter as soon as possible by calling (877) 410 3373 or phone your local Emergency Management Agency (EMA).
