An Ohio woman claims that she has proof of ghosts. The proof is in a photo that her son took of their home a few years ago, Cleveland's Channel 5 News reported today.
Lu Ann Sicuro believes that her Ravenna home is haunted. She claims that her family have experienced unexplained events for over twenty years while living in the home, from door knobs shaking, lights switching on and off, to hearing voices in the house.
Sicuro said that her son took the photo in May 2007 with a digital camera. She believes the figure is the ghost of a child.
"Our home is a former parsonage and has a history of paranormal activity, which sometimes is very frightening. I was the only person in the house at the time the photo was taken, as my husband was in a nursing home recovering from brain surgery due to cancer. I believe that the image in this photo is what is haunting our home. I am not sure if the image is something negative in nature", Sicuro told About.com.
According to Sicuro, her home was originally a Methodist parsonage built in 1930. She thinks a child died in the building and the ghost roams the halls of her home at night. Two paranormal investigation teams have investigated the house and claim to have confirmed the ghostly presence.
“I feel that this image is a very good photo of something paranormal caught on camera. It appears to be an image of a child. I believe the image in the photograph shows what is in our home. I've heard giggling, I've heard little footsteps," Sicuro said.
Paranormal investigator and author Jeff Danelek of OneCuriousWorld.com and the Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society analyzed the photo. They were unable to come up with an explanation of what actually caused the image in the photo. According to Danalek the photo will continue to remain a mystery.
"For those who adhere to a traditional scientific stand-point and for whom postmortem existence and with it such things as ghosts looking out a window is an impossibility, it will always remains a strange reflection, a case of pareidolia, or a hoax. For those who believe that the human personality survives death, it may be a sad but a very real example of a ghost caught in the act of observing a world it can no longer interact with. As for those who, like myself, believe that the universe contains far more secrets than it is willing to share, it will always remain a mystery," Danelek said.
