Ohio Village in Columbus offers a historic Valentine's celebration

Ohio Village, the restored 19th century town within the Ohio Historical Society in Columbus, Ohio is offering visitors a memorable way to celebrate the Valentine's season on Saturday, February 9 with a candlelight dinner in a historical setting. Columbus is approximately a 2 hour drive from Cleveland.

Ohio Village Candlelight Dinners Held at the American House Hotel from 6:30 p.m.- 9:30 p.m., visitors will be greeted by costumed interpreters, music performed on the violin and dulcimer and a cup of "Sweetheart Punch."

A romantic dinner for two by candlelight awaits with a menu featuring roasted seasonal root vegetable bisque, Spring mix salad, chicken breast stuffed with brie and cranberries served over truffle mashed potatoes with Supreme Sauce, haricot verts (French-style green beans) and for dessert, chocolate mousse and berry parfait. Coffee and hot tea are included. There will also be a cash bar available.

Entertainment after the meal will be provided by the Ohio Village Singers, one of the longest performing vocal ensembles of historical songs in the country. The Ohio Village Singers will be crooning period love ballads and comic songs. There will also be romantic verse, poetry and readings.

Each guest will also receive a handmade valentine created especially for this event.

Cost for the Valentines by Candlelight dinner is $60 per person. Reservations are required and must be made by February 4. Call 800-686-1541 to make reservations.
