Ohio State football recruiting: Stefon Diggs picks Maryland

Stefon Diggs, a five-star wide receiver recruit from Maryland just announced he would remain in state to play college football. Diggs picked Maryland over Ohio State, Florida and Auburn.

This is a bummer for the Buckeyes. Stefon’s athletic versatility would have been ideal at Ohio State where the coaching staff is currently looking for playmakers to emerge.

Even with the Buckeyes missing Diggs, they have one of the top recruiting classes in the country anchored by players like Noah Spence and Se’Von Pittman. If Urban Meyer and his staff can attract the level of talent they have in two months, just imagine what they can do when they have a whole off-season.
